More posts from Switzerland

Hi Parents,

This afternoon we're heading to Interlacken for the night and the day off tomorrow. We're staying at a former Swiss skiing champions hotel -Urs Kern. The glacier had about 3'' of new wet snow on it today so we weren't allowed to set any gates. It was thunderstorming until about 5:30am. The glacier didn't set up at all (too soft). We free skied and did drills on SL skis. It was still an extremely productive day. We even got to do some off-piste skiing. The Swiss men and women national teams are here as well as the Italian men. Great visuals for the kids. Hope all is well back home.

Sincerely Courtney

Hi Parents,

I think the kids really enjoyed the overnight in Interlacken. The former Swiss ski racing champion who we stayed with was Urs Räber not Urs what ever I called him before. Today was a bit of a bummer; it rained all day and it was quite windy so no one was allowed up on the glacier. We played soccer in the AM and volleyball in the afternoon. Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow. The kids will start writing e-mails to you again tomorrow.
Take care,
Courtney

Dear Parents,
Today was a great day of skiing. We took a couple of freeski runs in the fresh powder early on, and had a blast! After freeskiing we trained slalom for the first time during the camp. We started out with brush gates and worked on balance without our poles. After our break we trained full slalom for four runs. Because of the snow conditions there were some ruts but we powered through it. After skiing we played a couple intense games of volley-ball! Today was a great day and we finally had some nice weather, hopefully it will stay this way for the rest of our time here.

Sincerly,
Sabrina Chiasson
