Soccer

Polly played her first soccer game for Holderness last Saturday. Holderness won 3-2 and apparently scored all 5 goals.

Polly played in the goal for the first half.

Update:
Holderness won their second game, they played New Hampton School, Wednesday (9/22) 3-0. Polly scored a goal in the second half. She was the keeper in the first half.

Update:
I found a write up of the New Hampton game on the Holderness Webite.

The Girls' JV1 team traveled to New Hampton for their first game of the season! During the first half, Sharlyn Harper scored two goals for the Bulls with an assist from Maresa Nielson. Polly Evans stepped out of goal in the second half to play forward and scored the third goal for Holderness! Stephanie Allen and Page McCargo did an awesome job anchoring our defense. Midfielders Emily Capaul and Leah Woolson both had several shots on goal

A very nice email from Polly's Pennsylvania soccer coach.

Hi Nancy,

I just wanted to express a good luck & fond farewell to Polly on behalf of the team. It was a pleasure having her on the team as she was instrumental in our victories. Hopefully, she'll be able to join us next year. Good Luck. She's a wonderful young lady, and a fine athlete. We'll miss her ..... jw
