Walkway and Stair

John started the walkway base in early August and finished the project just before he left for San Francisco. The stones used for the steps were the original steps. I think John did an amazing job with the flagstone cuts on the walkway curve.

An additional part of the courtyard project included bringing the courtyard area to a level grade. We used ten yards of topsoil and some extra subsoil. The old garden had to dug up and will be replanted. I am planting grass in the courtyard this weekend, the hard part is that the topsoil in the entire area must first be tilled to a 4 inch depth.
